stage background with an affinity for the screen

i’m a stage, screen, and voice actor living and working in New York City. i have loved movies since my mom took me to see The Lion King in the theatre (five times, at my insistence…love you, mom) and am grateful to experience the joy of movie-making as a grown-up. my most formative years as an actor were spent in the theatre, and my biggest influences are the Demidov school of acting, the MFA program at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in DC, and many hours of Suzuki and Viewpoints training with the SITI Company ensemble.

classical roots

my first paid acting job came from an audition I went to “just for some audition practice”—i ended up cast as the title character in Henry VI and was in way, way over my head. but i’ve loved the poetry and emotionality of Shakespeare’s stories since then, and pursued classical training all the way to an MFA at one of the best classical theaters in the country, the Shakespeare Theatre Co. of Washington, DC.

the art of living onstage and on camera

after my MFA, i discovered the work of Nikolai Demidov, a close colleague of Stanislavsky, and have been immersed in the Demidov school of acting since 2021—a highly intuitive approach to cultivating creative freedom, effortless spontaneity, and a fully developed life as the character. i am fortunate to have been guided by the incredible teachers of the International Demidov Association, under the leadership of Prof. Andrei Malaev-Babel.
